The Team
Bartal Kamban
Raised in the Faroese capital, Tórshavn, Bartal Kamban nurtured his love for outdoor adventures at an early stage in life. Later he earned a master’s degree in Ethnology, spending time studying in Denmark, Iceland, and Norway. His deep understanding of the local culture and history led him to establish a tour agency (www.expfae.fo), providing well-crafted experiences for travelers in the Faroe Islands.
Recognizing that visitors have diverse needs and desires, Bartal decided to start a camper van rental service in the Faroe Islands, offering both transportation and lodging without breaking the bank.
When he’s not organizing tours, exploring the mountains, or managing camper van rentals, Bartal operates a CrossFit center in Tórshavn, promoting the health and well-being of the local community.
Kristina Thede Johansen
Kristina brings an infectious energy and can-do attitude to everything she does. A nature lover and outdoor enthusiast at heart, she has returned home to the Faroe Islands after having lived and studied in Denmark and Finland. Kristina’s background in event management, coupled with her multitasking and organizational skills, makes her a master in getting things done efficiently.
But Kristina’s talents don’t stop there; she is musically educated from the conservatory of The Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen and skillfully plays the saxophone. Her love for music frequently leads her to perform in concerts and participate in recordings.
When she’s not playing music, hiking the mountains with visitors, or renting out camper vans, Kristina is a dedicated CrossFitter and CrossFit trainer.
